Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer to optimize operations in their Tembisa facility. You will analyze processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to streamline workflows and reduce waste, collaborating with the production floor team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial Engineering, 3–5 years of hands-on experience, and a strong foundation in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process mapping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial engineering focused on operational efficiency.
• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma principles, and workflow design.
• Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and relevant engineering software.
• Excellent observational skills and ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities with diverse teams in Tembisa.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses of production lines and warehouse operations to identify bottlenecks and efficiency gains.
• Develop and implement process improvements using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Create and refine SOPs to ensure consistency and quality.
• Use simulation software and data analysis tools to model and test process changes.
• Collaborate with production supervisors to train staff on new procedures and foster continuous improvement culture.
• Track and report KPIs related to productivity, throughput, and resource utilization.
