Placements24 in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to analyze and optimize operational processes. The role emphasizes data-driven improvements, time and motion studies, and collaboration with field teams in a hybrid on-site setting.

You will drive efficiency and productivity, apply lean and Six Sigma methods, develop SOPs, and report findings to management. A strong analytical mindset and ability to travel between office and production floor are key.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 4 years in industrial engineering focusing on operations analysis and improvement.
Experience with data analysis, SPC, and process mapping.

Responsibilities

Analyze production and operations to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
Conduct time and motion studies to set performance benchmarks.
Lead lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve processes.
Collect and analyze data to find trends and root causes.
Propose changes to plant layout, equipment use, and material flow.
Develop SOPs and work instructions.
Collaborate with supervisors and operators to implement changes.
Prepare reports and presentations for management.
Assist planning and deployment of new equipment or technologies.
Monitor implemented changes for sustained gains.
