Job summary

Placements24 seeks an analytical Industrial Engineer for our Bloemfontein facilities. The role centers on operations analysis, planning, and process improvements to boost productivity and reduce costs across processing and supply chain activities.

You will analyze data, develop performance metrics, and support capacity planning while collaborating with operations teams to implement strategic initiatives. A strong data mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial engineering with focus on operations analysis, process improvement and performance measurement.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in data analysis software (Excel, Minitab, SQL).
• Experience with process modeling and simulation software is desirable.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production and operations data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and reporting systems for key operations.
• Conduct feasibility studies for process improvements and new technology implementations.
• Assist in capacity planning and resource allocation to meet production demands.
• Develop optimized production schedules and workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Perform cost–benefit analyses for proposed changes and investments.
• Collaborate with operations managers to implement and monitor improvement initiatives.
• Use simulation and modeling tools to evaluate different operational scenarios.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management on performance and recommendations.
