Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join our Randburg team. The role focuses on optimizing facility operations, service delivery workflows, and resource allocation, applying engineering principles to boost productivity and reduce costs.

You will design layouts, analyze data, develop SOPs, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across diverse operations in Gauteng. Strong Lean background and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in industrial engineering focused on operations.
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements.
• Strong Lean and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Proficiency in process mapping and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Analyze facility operations to identify inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement process improvements and strategies.
• Design and optimize layouts and workflows for productivity and safety.
• Forecast needs using data analysis and modeling.
• Collaborate with managers, supervisors and staff to implement solutions.
• Develop SOPs for optimized processes.
• Implement KPIs to monitor operational performance.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for changes.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regs.
• Train and mentor teams on new processes and improvements.
