Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Process Engineer for our manufacturing client in Pretoria. You will analyze production lines, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to boost efficiency and quality.

You will work with production teams to design SOPs, perform root-cause analyses, and train staff on new processes, driving tangible results in a challenging industrial environment and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of process engineering or manufacturing operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and data analysis.
• Proficiency with process simulation and statistical analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement solutions to reduce cycle times, minimize defects, and lower manufacturing costs.
• Design and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all key production processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications.
• Train production staff on new processes and best practices to ensure successful adoption.
