Candidates should hold a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and a Wireman’s license, with strong safety awareness and hands-on problem-solving skills. Relocation to Stellenbosch is expected where required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to specifications.

• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
• Assist engineers with the testing and commissioning of new electrical installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of electrical parts.
• Operate testing equipment and diagnostic tools to identify electrical faults.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls for electrical system failures.

• Understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks, work at heights, and in confined spaces if required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
