Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician in Stellenbosch, Western Cape. You will maintain and repair electrical systems and equipment across our production facilities, ensuring safe, continuous operation.

A strong background in power distribution, motor controls and PLC/VFD applications is required to troubleshoot faults and plan preventive maintenance. You will read schematics, participate in commissioning of new equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade certificate.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with PLCs and VFDs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments and troubleshooting techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with a recognized trade certificate (e.g. Wireman's License).


• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or production setting.


• Proven experience with industrial power systems, motor controls, and electrical troubleshooting.


• Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and VFDs is essential.


• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.


• Strong understanding of electrical safety principles and regulations.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Good communication skills.


• Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency call-outs as needed.


• Experience in the Stellenbosch industrial sector is highly desirable.
