Placements24 is seeking an Electrical Systems Technician to manage and maintain complex electrical infrastructure in Pretoria. The role requires deep knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting in industrial or commercial settings.

You will install, repair, and maintain equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. The ideal candidate is meticulous, safety-conscious, and proficient in diagnosing issues quickly to support uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

• Requires NTC 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as an Electrical Technician or similar role.
• Solid understanding of electrical theory, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with electrical testing equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control panels, and related equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and diagnostic testing on electrical components to identify faults and hazards.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and troubleshoot issues and implement repairs.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and system performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and external contractors on electrical projects.
