Placements24 is seeking a Technical Retail Support Specialist for a leading consumer electronics retailer in Upington, Northern Cape. You will provide in-store technical assistance, diagnose issues, and help customers with setup and usage to ensure satisfaction.

The role requires strong technical knowledge across Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, as well as excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical support or IT helpdesk.
• Proficiency with Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Relevant IT certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support for consumer electronics and related software.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in-store.
• Assist customers with product setup and initial use.
• Educate customers on features and best practices.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or manufacturers.
• Maintain records of customer interactions and resolutions.
• Stay updated with technology trends and product releases.
• Support in-store demonstrations and assist sales staff with tech queries.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction with clear, timely technical assistance in Upington.
• Contribute to a positive customer experience in the technology department.
