Qualifications

• A relevant degree or qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in mental health support, counselling, or case management.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health conditions, diagnostic criteria, and treatment modalities.
• Strong understanding of recovery-oriented practices and person-centred care.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and empathic skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualised support plans.
• Provide direct support, counselling, and crisis intervention to individuals with mental health conditions.
• Coordinate and facilitate access to a range of mental health services and community resources.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and support networks to ensure integrated care.
• Monitor clients' progress and well-being, adapting support plans as necessary.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and management strategies.
• Facilitate support groups and psychoeducational workshops.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organisational policies and data protection regulations.
• Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the healthcare system and community.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities in Rustenburg.
