Job summary

Placements24 in East London, Eastern Cape, is seeking an Account Executive to manage a portfolio of small business clients and drive growth. You will own the full sales cycle from lead qualification to closing and retention, in a hybrid setting with a mix of in-person and remote engagements.

You'll build strong relationships, identify upsell opportunities, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and exceed targets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a similar client management role.
• Strong understanding of the small business market and their needs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong, long‑lasting client relationships.
• Proficiency with CRM software and sales management tools.
• A results-driven approach with a track record of meeting sales quotas.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of small business accounts, acting as their primary point of contact.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross‑selling within existing client accounts.
• Conduct regular client meetings and business reviews, both virtually and in‑person.
• Develop and execute account growth strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement.
• Collaborate with internal support teams to deliver excellent service to clients.
