Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Telecoms Billing Systems Analyst in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal to analyse, configure and support complex billing systems critical to revenue. You will work with BSS/OSS platforms, perform system configurations, testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization of billing rules and rating plans.

You'll collaborate with Finance, IT and Product teams, generate reports, support end-to-end billing, participate in upgrades, and train junior analysts while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications billing systems analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of BSS/OSS platforms (e.g., Amdocs, Oracle Communications, CSG).

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing system requirements and translate them into functional configurations.
• Configure, test, and deploy billing system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot billing issues and ensure accurate invoices.
• Develop and maintain billing rules, rating plans, and product configurations.
• Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and product teams to ensure seamless billing operations.
• Support the end-to-end billing cycle, from rating and invoicing to collections.
• Participate in system upgrades and migration projects.
• Provide training and support to junior analysts and end-users.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to billing.
