Placements24 is seeking a Telecommunications Systems Analyst in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. The role focuses on evaluating, optimizing, and supporting complex telecom systems to improve reliability and cost-effectiveness.

You will analyze network performance data, identify trends, and propose improvements while collaborating with engineers and operations teams in a hybrid work setting, with local office presence in Nelspruit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in telecommunications systems analysis, network operations, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of telecommunications network principles, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and various transmission technologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance analysis tools is desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with ITIL best practices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the performance of telecommunications networks and systems, including voice, data, and video services.
• Identify system inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and potential areas for improvement.
• Develop reports and presentations on system performance, trends, and recommendations for management.
• Monitor KPIs for telecommunications infrastructure.
• Assist in the planning and design of new telecommunications solutions and upgrades.
• Evaluate new telecommunications technologies and assess their suitability for the organization.
• Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and policies.
• Support capacity planning initiatives to ensure network scalability.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements and regulatory changes affecting telecommunications systems.
