Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the core systems team in Polokwane, Limpopo. You will design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade software for telecommunications billing and CRM systems, collaborating with analysts, product managers, and other developers to specify requirements.

You will write clean code, review peers, and optimize performance. The role demands strong problem-solving, mentoring, and knowledge sharing in a finance/telecom environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on enterprise-level applications.
• Proven experience developing complex systems, ideally within finance or telecommunications.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C#, or Python.
• Expertise in SQL/Oracle and ORM frameworks.
• Experience with billing systems, revenue assurance, or related financial applications is a significant advantage.
• Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software for telecommunications billing and CRM systems.
