Placements24 is seeking a motivated Project Manager to lead expansive retail expansion programs for a leading national retailer in Benoni, Gauteng. You will oversee site selection, design, construction, fit-out, and grand openings across multiple locations, ensuring delivery on time, budget, and brand standards.

The role blends in-office collaboration with remote work, demanding strong stakeholder management, budgeting, schedule control, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of project management experience in retail, construction, or multi-site expansion.
• Proven experience managing budgets and timelines for multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, store design principles, and construction processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing office and remote responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of retail expansion projects—from site selection to grand opening.
• Develop detailed project plans with scope, timelines, budgets, resources and risks.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners (contractors, architects, suppliers).
• Ensure adherence to brand standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
• Monitor progress, track expenditures, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain project documentation and reporting; communicate updates to stakeholders.
