Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead our retail expansion in Benoni, overseeing openings, refurbishments, and vendor coordination. You will manage budgets, schedules, and ensure timely delivery of projects to brand standards.

Responsibilities include site selection, lease negotiations, design, construction, and merchandising for retail projects, with emphasis on risk mitigation and financial control. Growth in a fast-paced, expanding retail group awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years in project management, retail or multi-site development.
• Experience in construction, fit-out, and operational setup for retail.
• Strong lease understanding and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project plans for new store openings and refurbishments, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate with internal departments (operations, marketing, finance) and external vendors, contractors, and landlords to ensure project success.
• Oversee site selection, lease negotiations, design, construction, and merchandising phases for retail projects.
• Ensure all projects comply with company standards, brand guidelines, local regulations, and safety protocols.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and approve invoices to ensure financial control.
