Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer in Stellenbosch to optimize high-volume production lines, from bottling to packaging, with a focus on yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency.

You will lead continuous improvement projects, map processes, conduct time and motion studies, and ensure compliance with HACCP standards. A strong analytical mindset and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in industrial engineering within production/manufacturing.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and CI methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Develop data-driven strategies for process optimization (yield, cycle time, resource use).
• Design Lean/Six Sigma solutions to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Collaborate with production, QA, and operators to implement changes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation.
• Conduct time and motion studies to improve workforce productivity.
• Evaluate upgrades for equipment and automation systems.
• Monitor KPIs on production efficiency, cost and quality and report trends.
• Lead continuous improvement projects and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards relevant to industry.
