Placements24 is seeking a versatile HR Generalist to join our George-based team in a hybrid role that blends remote work with in-office collaboration. You will handle a broad range of HR duties, from onboarding to employee relations, benefits, and policy development, supporting both staff and line managers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, at least 3 years in a generalist remit, solid SA labour law knowledge, and strong communication skills within a busy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as HR Generalist.
• Strong knowledge of South Africa employment law.
• Experience with HRIS and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a hybrid environment.
• Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Administer benefits programs and address related queries.
• Support employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with recruitment: posting, screening, and interviewing.
• Provide HR guidance to line managers on HR-related matters.
• Contribute to HR training programs.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives as required.
