Placements24 is seeking a motivated Chemical Engineer to join our production support team at the Port Elizabeth facility. The role focuses on maintaining and improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, and collaborating with the production team to enhance quality and yield.

The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site and remote support, enabling focused problem-solving and continuous operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of production/manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment and control systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented, fast-paced production environment.
• Good communication with diverse teams in Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the production team, addressing process deviations and operational issues in real-time.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in implementing process modifications and upgrades to enhance quality and yield.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
