Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Chemical Manufacturing Engineer to join our operations team in a hybrid role at our South Africa facilities. You will collaborate with on-site production teams to troubleshoot, optimize processes, and ensure safe, high-quality chemical manufacturing, with the flexibility to manage documentation remotely.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, has at least 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process engineering,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process engineering.
• Strong understanding of chemical processes, unit operations, and manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize chemical manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency, yield, and product quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices for manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards within the manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with quality control and R&D teams to implement process improvements and new product introductions.
• Support the training and development of production personnel on new processes and equipment.
