The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in HRM or related field and at least 8 years’ HR experience, including 4 in management, with strong knowledge of SA labour law.

Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics and supply chain company, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented HR Manager to oversee operational HR functions in **Soweto, Gauteng**.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies that support the operational goals and objectives of the company.
• Oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and payroll support for operational staff.
• Manage a team of HR professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and development.
• Ensure compliance with all South African labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
• Develop and implement effective employee relations strategies to foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Manage the grievance and disciplinary processes, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 4 years in a management role, preferably within an operations or logistics environment.
• Proven experience in managing HR operations for a large, diverse workforce.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and employment practices.
• Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with HRIS and relevant HR technology solutions.
• Strong understanding of operational challenges and the ability to align HR solutions accordingly.
