Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an HR Intern to join the Human Capital Development division in George, Western Cape. You’ll help design and deliver training programs, support onboarding for new hires, and assist with employee development initiatives.

You will collaborate with the HR team on learning projects, track participation, and gather feedback to improve training effectiveness. This entry-point role offers mentorship and hands-on experience in a dynamic HR environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Education, or related field.
• Strong interest in human capital development, training, and employee engagement.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and delivery of training programs.
• Support the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation sessions.
• Help administer employee development programs and track participation.
• Conduct research on best practices in human capital development and learning technologies.
• Assist with the coordination of employee engagement initiatives and events.
• Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee development progress.
• Support the HR team with administrative tasks related to talent management.
• Help gather feedback on training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing employee skills and career progression.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for human capital development.
