Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Junior HR Assistant Apprentice to join our Randburg, Gauteng offices. You will gain hands-on experience across recruitment support, employee onboarding, HR administration and data management while working closely with the HR team to uphold best practices and a positive workplace culture.

The role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and a keen interest in HR.

Qualifications

• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification is required.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
• Interest in Human Resources and employee relations is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment processes (posting vacancies and screening applications).
• Schedule interviews and coordinate with candidates and hiring managers.
• Support onboarding for new employees.
• Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
• Assist HR administration tasks such as preparing employment letters and contracts.
• Respond to basic employee inquiries about HR policies and procedures.
• Help organize HR events and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and labor laws.
• Assist in preparing HR reports and presentations.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
