The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in HRM or Industrial Psychology, 3–5 years of HR Generalist experience, strong SA labor-law knowledge, and proficiency in HRIS and MS Office.

About the Role

Our client, a reputable player in the agricultural and wine industry, is seeking a versatile HR Generalist to join their team based in the **Paarl** region. This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring a balance of on-site engagement and remote flexibility. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor legislation. This position is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys a hands-on approach and is committed to fostering a positive and productive work environment within the vibrant **Paarl** community. You will contribute significantly to the employee lifecycle and support the strategic HR objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing and interviewing to offer management and onboarding of new employees.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with South African labor laws.
• Provide guidance and support to employees and line managers on various HR-related issues, including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
• Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention.
• Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR documentation.
• Support performance management processes and facilitate training and development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace.
• Contribute to HR projects and reporting as required.
• Act as a key point of contact for employee queries and concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
• Solid understanding of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to a hybrid work environment.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
