Placements24 is assisting a premier winery in Paarl, Western Cape, to recruit an HR Generalist focused on recruitment and onboarding. This role shapes the talent pipeline, supports new hire integration, and strengthens HR processes in a fast-paced wine industry environment.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant HR qualification, 2–4 years in recruitment or HR generalist roles, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and HRIS/ATS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or related field.
• 2-4 years' experience in recruitment or HR Generalist role with recruitment focus.
• End-to-end recruitment experience including sourcing and interviewing.
• Experience developing and delivering onboarding programs.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS/ATS systems.
• Knowledge of South African labour law relevant to recruitment and employment.

• Manage full recruitment lifecycle: posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
• Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for future roles.

• Maintain accurate candidate records and HR databases.
• Assist with HR administration tasks including contract generation and employee files.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic winery and vineyard located in the heart of the winelands, is seeking an enthusiastic and organized HR Generalist with a strong focus on Recruitment and Onboarding to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape . This role is vital for ensuring the winery attracts and retains top talent, especially during peak seasons. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interviewing and selection. Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a seamless onboarding experience for all new hires. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for people. Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in a dedicated recruitment role or an HR Generalist role with a strong recruitment focus.
• Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing strategies and interviewing techniques.
• Experience in developing and delivering onboarding programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with candidates and employees.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with HRIS/ATS systems.
• Knowledge of South African labour law, particularly concerning recruitment and employment.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of recruitment activities.
• Experience within the agricultural, wine, or hospitality industry is a plus.
