Job summary

Placements24 seeks an enthusiastic Hotel Events Coordinator in Bloemfontein to manage conferences, weddings, banquets and corporate functions. You will liaise with clients, coordinate with culinary, banqueting and A/V teams, and ensure flawless execution from inquiry through post-event follow-up.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a proactive attitude, and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in event coordination or related hospitality role.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate and deliver events from inquiry to post-event follow-up.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to event inquiries promptly with detailed proposals.
• Plan and organize menus, room layouts, and technical requirements with clients.
• Coordinate with Food & Beverage, Banqueting, Front Office and Sales for seamless events.
• Develop event timelines and manage vendor relationships.
• Conduct site inspections and client meetings.
• Oversee setup/breakdown and ensure adherence to standards.
• Manage event budgets and invoicing; ensure profitability.
• Troubleshoot issues during events and maintain accurate files.
