Job summary

Career Growth Hospitality Recruitment & Training seeks an experienced Learning & Development Manager for a luxury hotel in Cape Town. You will drive practical learning experiences, align training with guest service standards and lead the People & Culture team to improve performance.

Role requires strong facilitation, coaching, and the ability to partner with departmental leaders. You will oversee onboarding, training budgets, and succession planning to elevate the guest experience.

Qualifications

• A hospitality or L&D qualification would be advantageous.
• Minimum three years’ operational experience in hospitality.
• Proven training, coaching and facilitation skills.
• Experience with CATHSSETA reporting, Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication; highly organised.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver operational training across hotel departments.
• Lead Hotel Training Committee and support Departmental Trainers.
• Coach, guide and mentor trainers and operational leaders.
• Monitor on‑the‑job training and ensure training checklists are completed.
• Create and maintain a monthly hotel training calendar; observe service delivery.
• Present quarterly learning plans to the leadership team; support career progression.
