Job summary

Tanya Serra is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to lead the hotel’s people development, elevate service standards and cultivate a culture of continuous learning in Cape Town.

You will coordinate operational training, collaborate with department leaders and trainers, and drive full-cycle training programs from onboarding to leadership coaching in a luxury hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operational hospitality experience.
• Leadership experience is advantageous.
• Hospitality-related qualification preferred.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Able to influence and engage at all levels.
• Proactive, energetic, innovative and self-motivated.
• Experience in creating and executing full-cycle training processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop L&D strategy and implementation across the hotel.
• Conduct training needs analysis and development plans.
• Oversee onboarding and induction for new hires.
• Lead Train-the-Trainer programmes.
• Coach, mentor and support leadership development.
• Uphold service standards and operational excellence.
• Drive talent development and succession planning.
• Foster hotel school partnerships and internships.
• Drive employee engagement and development initiatives.
• Manage training compliance, records and Cathsseta programmes.
