Job summary

Cape Grace, A Fairmont Managed Hotel, in Cape Town, seeks a Learning & Development Manager to coordinate operational training and develop on-the-job programs. You will partner with operational leaders to elevate guest and colleague engagement following Fairmont standards.

Responsibilities include training coordination, mentor to Departmental Trainers, onboarding, and curation of a training calendar. Leadership collaboration and proactive process improvement are key to success.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Hospitality related studies preferred.
• Operational hospitality experience of at least 3 years.
• Leadership experience is a strong asset.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Independent, able to influence at all levels and drive initiatives.
• Exceptionally organized, proactive and innovative.
• Must be authorized to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement hotel training programs and activities.
• Coach and develop departmental trainers and leaders.
• Monitor training needs and ensure on-the-job training quality.
• Develop onboarding, Train the Trainer, and other People & Culture programs.
• Create and maintain a monthly training calendar and records.
• Work with leadership to audit standards and address training gaps.
