Job summary

Headhunters in Pretoria seeks a dynamic Sales Specialist to grow FMCG category share. You will plan sales calls, classify clients, and drive volumes across all categories with a value‑added approach.

The role requires confident demos, strong communication, and travel as needed. Matric is the minimum; a Degree in Food Technology is advantageous. A valid driver's license is essential.

This is a full‑time position offering exposure to diverse customers and market intelligence.

Qualifications

• Matric is the minimum qualification.
• Degree in Food Technology is advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years' sales experience in FMCG.
• Ability to demonstrate cooking and present to clients.

Responsibilities

• Plan sales calls with a value-added approach.
• Learn and apply client classifications.
• Plan on building market share across all categories.
• Drive and achieve volumes/budget across all categories.
• Conduct demos and other adhoc activities as required.
• Build on and research product and industry knowledge.
• Work on promotional activity as per guidelines required.
• Build client relationships and ensure service effectiveness.
• Analyse competitor activity and market trends and feedback on market intelligence.
• Submit weekly sales and ADAPT reports by the required deadline.
• Proactively look for new business and market opportunities.
• Manage sales administration and other duties as required.
• Deliveries carried out to company standard where appropriate.
• C-Track in line with company standards.
• Ensure stock levels are monitored.
