Job summary

Phoenix Recruitment is seeking a Head of Training for a Restaurant Franchise with head offices in Woodstock, Cape Town.

You will design and facilitate multiple training classes, develop course materials, and coordinate yearly training plans, including in-store and sponsored external programmes.

The role requires leadership, LMS expertise, and the ability to report on training outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in training and development, including leadership/supervisory roles within hospitality/restaurant industries.
• Professional CPTM certification is desirable.
• Accredited SDF credentials are preferred.
• Ability to align L&D with company goals and business objectives.
• Oversee design, implementation and evaluation of training, onboarding and leadership programs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate various classes (in-store and classroom) and write course materials.
• Develop and manage yearly training planner and reporting of training across the group.
• Coordinate new store opening training and brand-specific staff training on systems and procedures.
• Lead company induction program and monthly onboarding for new employees.
• Manage external sponsorship training and ensure contract requirements are met.
• Provide overall operational support for training needs and management requests.
