Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Search Marketing to lead the PPC and SEO discipline across multiple client sectors. You will oversee the PPC and SEO strategists, define quality standards, and own channel strategy and budgeting as accounts scale.

This is a management seat, not an IC role. You will be client-facing, guide audits and reporting, and participate in hiring and first-round interviews within a quarter.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Able to own channel strategy and budgets as accounts scale.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when an account is underperforming.

Responsibilities

• Own the PPC and SEO strategy; set quality standards for audits and reporting.
• Lead the PPC and SEO strategists, reviewing development and performance.
• Drive client results and ensure reporting honesty and GA4 accuracy today.
• Hit escalation when an account is at risk and direct the strategists to fix it.
