Blacksmith Agency seeks a Director of Digital Marketing to lead PPC and SEO across multifamily, B2B and technical verticals. You will manage the PPC strategist and the SEO strategist, setting standards and owning client results.

This is a management role with direct client interaction, accountable for audits, reporting integrity, channel strategy, and the department's hiring plan. The seat is open as part of strategic growth.

Qualifications

• Lead and develop PPC and SEO strategists; set quality standards and audits.
• 7+ years across paid media and SEO; owning one channel while collaborating with the other.
• Proficient in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta, and Microsoft Ads.
• Strong client-facing ownership when accounts underperform.
• Agency experience carrying many accounts.

Responsibilities

• Own the PPC and SEO strategists; manage reviews and development.
• Set the standard for audits, reporting, and client communications.
• Ensure honest reporting and GA4 attribution accuracy.
• Diagnose account risks and direct fix actions with clients on calls.
• Define channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Convey credible delivery to sales before a deal is closed.
• Own hiring plan and conduct first-round interviews within a quarter.
