Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Admin, Marketing, Finance, or related field; MBA desirable.
• Minimum 6 years in business development, sales management, or strategic partnerships in tech.
• Proven track record closing new opportunities and driving revenue growth.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with market analysis, strategic planning, and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with Stellenbosch business environment and venture capital landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic BD plan to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, alliances, or M&A.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and influencers.
• Lead negotiations of complex deals and contracts for favorable terms.
• Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to spot opportunities.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams for alignment.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
• Develop compelling presentations and proposals for partners and clients.
• Manage the BD pipeline and progress toward strategic goals.
• Mentor and guide a team of BD professionals.
