Job summary

Mama Money in Cape Town is seeking a Head of Agent Network to lead our 1,500+ field agents and drive growth across regions. You will set sales strategy, manage budgets, and coach regional managers to deliver strong commercial results that help migrants and underserved communities move money at fair prices.

You will partner with Product and Marketing to equip the agent network with the right tools, track performance, refine commissions, and ensure alignment with our values.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a national sales team in insurance, retail, financial services, or a similar industry.
• Data-literate with ability to analyze data to drive decisions, improve sales efficiency, and optimise performance.
• Experience collaborating with Product and Marketing to implement change.
• Experience managing regional managers and sales teams with clear targets.
• Strong commercial mindset with proven success in driving customer acquisition, retention, and cross-product usage.
• Target-driven, performance-oriented, and focused on operational efficiency.
• Strong interest in social impact and mission-driven work.
• Bonus: fintech space or fast-growing startup experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the sales team across a 1,500+ agent network.
• Develop data-driven strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and cross-selling.
• Own and manage the commercial budget, focusing on CAC, margins, and LTV.
• Mentor regional managers to ensure targets are met and sales grow.
• Track metrics and optimise performance of the agent network.
• Set targets and review commission structures.
• Collaborate with Product to provide tools and support for sales.
• Work with Marketing to ensure brand alignment and demand generation.
• Align with Mama Money values and foster a high-performance culture.
