Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a vigilant and experienced Head Lifeguard to lead the beach safety operations in the Richards Bay area. You will manage a team of lifeguards, implement robust safety protocols, and coordinate emergency responses along the coastline to safeguard visitors and locals.

This role requires current lifeguard certification, Advanced First Aid and CPR, and several years in supervision. You will develop safety policies, train staff, perform inspections, and engage in community

Qualifications

• Current and valid Lifeguard certification from a recognized authority (e.g., SLS, RLSS).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a lifeguard, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Certification in Advanced First Aid and CPR (Level 3 or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Strong swimming ability and physical fitness, capable of performing rescues in open water conditions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Knowledge of coastal safety principles, rip current identification, and emergency first aid procedures.

Responsibilities
