Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Aquatics Supervisor to manage all aquatic programs and facilities at their premier sports and leisure complex in Richards Bay . This role is vital for ensuring the safety, quality, and efficiency of all water-based activities, including swimming lessons, lifeguard operations, and recreational swimming. You will lead a team of lifeguards and instructors, implement robust safety protocols, and manage the operational budget for the aquatic centre, fostering an environment where safety and enjoyment are paramount for all users, contributing to the overall success of the leisure offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the aquatic centre, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and health standards.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise a team of lifeguards and swim instructors.
• Develop, implement, and monitor aquatic programs, including swimming lessons, water aerobics, and competitive swim team support.
• Conduct regular safety checks, emergency drills, and in-service training for aquatic staff.
• Manage the aquatic centre's budget, including equipment purchasing, maintenance, and staffing costs.
