Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Guest House Manager for a charming property in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will oversee all guest house operations, guest services, housekeeping, and financial admin to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills and a passion for hospitality in a small-hotel setting. Live-in accommodation may be available, with opportunities to engage with local tourism networks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in guest house, B&B or small hotel management.
• Proven experience in customer service and managing guest relations.
• Strong understanding of the Hospitality & Tourism sector, especially smaller accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day operations of the guest house.
• Oversee guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth arrival and departure.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address guest needs and requests promptly.
• Manage reservations and booking systems, optimizing occupancy rates.
• Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance services to ensure high standards of cleanliness and upkeep.
• Handle financial transactions, including billing, payments, and petty cash.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local tour operators and businesses.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Manage staff (if applicable) including scheduling and training.
