Job summary

Objective Personnel in Germiston, South Africa, is looking for a proactive Internal Sales Administrator to support the external sales team by handling inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring accurate data in the ERP system.

You will build strong relationships with customers and suppliers, maintain high service levels, and uphold company policies while driving continual improvements.

Qualifications

• Matric is required; post-matric in Sales or Marketing preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and computer literacy are required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Pursue opportunities for new business.
• Receive communication from existing and prospective customers via telephone, email, or visits.
• Service the needs of existing customers and respond to new sales inquiries to support the external sales team.
• Promote sales by differentiating Company Products and Services, using Technical/Quality departments as required.
• Liaise with External Sales to ensure regular follow up on quotes and orders.
• Keep customers apprised of pricing, products and delivery; respond to correspondence promptly.
• Review outstanding orders and update customers on status and potential delays.
• Coordinate with Factory/Warehouse regarding production progress and stock availability.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and advising management or customers as appropriate.
• Monitor customer service quality and report problems to External Sales as needed.
• Ensure Customer information in Dynamics 365 BC is complete, including contacts, budgets and pricing categories.
• Understand and implement pricing structures; establish stock availability and submit quotes.
• Follow up on quotes and process Sales Orders.
• Assist with buy-out stock to ensure optimal sourcing and cost.
• Print packing instructions, dispatch notes and invoices when required.
• Communicate with other departments and customers to ensure orders are executed correctly.
• All communications with customers to be handled by Internal Sales; copy relevant info to External Sales.
• Act to ensure customer satisfaction and assist Directors in general management as required.
