Placements24 seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer specialized in Grid Integration to drive interconnection activities for renewable projects in Bloemfontein. You will design grid connection solutions, perform studies, and coordinate with utility partners to ensure compliant integration of renewables into the national grid.

The role requires a Power Systems-focused Electrical Engineering degree and at least 5 years of grid integration experience, with proficiency in ETAP or PSS/E and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with Power Systems specialization.
Minimum 5 years of grid integration experience with renewables.
Proficiency in ETAP or PSS/E and grid protection schemes.

Responsibilities

Conduct grid interconnection studies (short circuit, load flow, stability).
Design and specify transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
Ensure compliance with SA and international grid codes.
Collaborate with grid operators and utilities on interconnection processes.
Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
Analyze grid performance and identify optimization opportunities.
