Placements24 is seeking a Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor for our Soweto facility. You will lead a team of production operators, ensure GMP compliance, and drive daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced pharmaceutical environment.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, risk awareness, and hands-on involvement in documentation and process control, with opportunities for training and career progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Extensive knowledge of GMP regulations and their application in pharmaceutical production.
• Proven ability to supervise production teams and manage daily operations.
• Willingness to work on-site in Soweto, Gauteng and support shift work if required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities and maintain schedules.
• Lead and train a team of production operators to meet quality standards.
• Ensure GMP, safety, and SOP compliance.
• Monitor processes, identify deviations, implement CAPAs.
• Oversee equipment operation and liaise with maintenance.
• Complete batch records accurately.
• Manage raw material inventory and material flow.
• Support quality investigations and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with QA, Warehouse, Logistics to ensure seamless operations.
