Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in Upington, Northern Cape. You will oversee daily production activities, enforce GMP, safety, and timely batch completion.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing with supervisory experience, strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to coordinate QA, Engineering, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 4–6 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Solid knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with MES and batch records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and feedback.
• Ensure GMP compliance and regulatory requirements in all activities.
• Monitor production processes for efficiency, quality, and timely batches.
• Enforce safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage shift schedules, resource allocation, and material flow.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with QA, QC, and Engineering to resolve challenges.
• Maintain production records and documentation, including BMRs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and safety information.
