General Managers | JHB | Restaurant Group A dynamic and expanding hospitality group is seeking exceptional GENERAL MANAGERS to join the team of an expanding restaurant group in Johannesburg. With a diverse portfolio including Greek, Italian, and Steakhouse concepts, the group is looking for hospitality professionals who bring the wow factor ; thrive in high-volume premium environments, and are ready for an immediate start. This is not a role for ordinary managers. We are searching for leaders who combine charisma, operational excellence, and financial acumen with a genuine passion for hospitality. General Manager Key Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Oversee all front-of-house and back-of-house functions, ensuring seamless coordination and a consistently outstanding guest experience. You will be the driving force behind smooth service, efficient systems, and operational excellence.
• Financial Management: Take full ownership of the unit’s P&L. This includes meticulous management of stock, wastage, labor costs, and daily turnovers. Your ability to balance profitability with guest satisfaction will be a defining measure of success.
• Team Development: Recruit, train, and inspire a high-performing team. You will foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence, ensuring that every team member contributes to the restaurant’s success.
• Guest Relations: Act as the face of the brand. Build strong local loyalties, engage with high-profile clientele, and resolve guest feedback with professionalism and warmth. Your presence should leave a lasting impression.
• Standards & Compliance: Uphold brand standards, health and safety protocols, and internal SOPs with precision. Consistency and attention to detail are non-negotiable.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in restaurant management, ideally within premium casual dining or upscale steakhouse environments. Proven success in high-volume operations is essential.
• Leadership Style: A hands-on leader who thrives on the floor, especially during peak service. You lead from the front, setting the tone for your team and ensuring guests feel the energy and professionalism of the brand.
• Business Acumen: Strong proficiency in POS systems (GAAP, Micros), inventory software, and financial reporting. You must demonstrate excellent financial control and the ability to maximize profitability without compromising service.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and high-profile clientele. You should be approachable yet authoritative, inspiring respect and loyalty.
