Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead a prominent hospitality establishment in Upington, Northern Cape. The role requires deep expertise in hotel operations, guest services, F&B, finance, sales, and marketing, with accountability for profitability and service standards.

You will direct a diverse team, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in hospitality management, with at least 5 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role.
Proven track record of successfully managing hotel operations and driving profitability.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily operations of the hospitality establishment across departments.
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve financial targets, increase revenue, and control costs.
Manage and motivate a diverse team, fostering excellence, teamwork and guest satisfaction.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to enhance occupancy and brand visibility.
Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and local authorities.
