Placements24 is seeking a Remote Event Catering Coordinator to manage logistics and client communications for a portfolio of events across South Africa. The role emphasizes meticulous planning, menu coordination, timelines, and vendor liaison to deliver seamless catering.

You will work with clients, venues, and internal culinary teams, ensuring detailed event orders, budgets, and health protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in event or catering coordination or related hospitality role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple events and deadlines.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a professional demeanor.
• Experience using virtual collaboration tools and event management software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate catering logistics for a portfolio of events and meet client specs.
• Serve as primary contact for catering details, menus, dietary needs, and timelines.
• Liaise with culinary teams to confirm menus, prep schedules, and delivery logistics.
• Collaborate with venues and vendors to integrate catering services.
• Develop and distribute detailed event orders and BEOs to all parties.
• Manage event information in CRM and event management software.
• Track catering expenses and assist with budget management.
• Ensure health, safety, and hygiene protocols are communicated and followed.
• Troubleshoot catering issues during planning or execution.
• Conduct virtual pre-event meetings to confirm all details.
• Maintain client relationships and gather feedback for satisfaction.
