Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited in the Foreshore area of Cape Town is seeking a Frontshop Assistant to help maintain merchandising standards and support customer service at the point of sale.

The role requires Grade 12 and up to 6 months retail experience, with advantageous extra experience or certifications. You will ensure shelves are stocked, prices correct, and cash is handled according to SOPs while delivering friendly service to customers.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 – Matric or Senior Certificate.
• 0 – 6 months Retail work experience.
• Knowledge of retail operations and administration.
• Basic arithmetic and numeracy.
• Friendly, customer-focused approach and good communication.

Responsabilités

• Ensure full ranges of products are on shelves and neatly presented.
• Maintain stock on shelves and ensure sell-by dates.
• Restock merchandise to maximise sales.
• Handle out-of-stock queries promptly per policy.
• Ensure stock from storeroom is stored and packed correctly.
• Verify labels and pricing; report discrepancies.
• Keep storeroom neat and organised.
• Provide friendly customer assistance and product knowledge.
• Process sales transactions (cash, card, vouchers) per SOP.
• Report stock issues and assist with stock counts.
