Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a detail-oriented Helpdesk Support Analyst to join our IT team. You will provide frontline technical assistance, diagnose issues, and ensure reliable operation of IT systems for staff.

Responsibilities include hardware/software troubleshooting, user account management, documentation, and contributing to asset control. The ideal candidate has hardware/network knowledge, certifications, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Helpdesk or similar IT support role.
Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, OS, and networking.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Clear communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide first and second-level technical support to internal users.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, and in-person.
Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights within the IT infrastructure.
Document support activities, resolutions, and create user guides for common issues.
Assist with IT asset management and inventory control.
