Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Reservations Agent for a prestigious 5-star hotel in Franschhoek, Western Cape. You will manage reservations and guest enquiries, ensuring a seamless booking experience from initial inquiry through arrival.

The ideal candidate will have hotel reservations experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and a professional telephone manner, with knowledge of Franschhoek and Winelands market.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel reservations role is essential.
• Experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel environment is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of hotel reservations procedures and systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all incoming reservations enquiries via telephone, email and other booking channels.
• Process individual and group reservations accurately and efficiently.
• Provide guests with detailed information regarding accommodation, rates, availability and facilities.
• Ensure reservations are correctly captured and maintained on the hotel’s reservations system.
• Follow up on enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed bookings.
• Manage amendments, cancellations and special requests professionally.
• Communicate guest requirements and preferences to relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate guest profiles and reservation records.
• Upsell room categories, packages and additional services where appropriate.
• Monitor availability and align bookings with revenue and occupancy strategies.
• Address guest queries and resolve reservation-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Revenue, Sales and other departments for a seamless guest journey.
