Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a prestigious hotel in Pretoria , is seeking an experienced and strategic Food & Beverage Manager to elevate its dining experiences across all outlets. This key leadership role involves overseeing multiple restaurants, bars, banqueting, and in-room dining operations, ensuring exceptional service, culinary quality, and financial success. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both operational execution and strategic menu development, coupled with a passion for hospitality. This hybrid role allows for flexibility while maintaining a strong presence within the hotel's vibrant F&B division. You will be instrumental in driving innovation and customer satisfaction in Pretoria 's competitive hospitality scene.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of all hotel food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service.
• Develop and implement innovative menus and beverage programs in collaboration with the Executive Chef and bar managers.
• Ensure the highest standards of guest service, ambiance, and quality across all F&B touchpoints.
• Oversee inventory management, cost control, budgeting, and financial performance of the F&B department.
• Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of F&B professionals, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
• Implement and enforce all health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the F&B operations.
• Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to drive revenue and enhance the hotel's F&B reputation in Pretoria .
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favorable contracts for food, beverages, and operational supplies.
• Monitor customer feedback and implement service improvements to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage management, with a proven track record in similar roles within the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple F&B outlets, including fine dining and banqueting.
• Strong financial acumen, including budget management, P&L analysis, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of current F&B trends, wine and spirits, and culinary techniques.
• Proficiency in F&B management software and POS systems.
• A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the dynamic nature of the role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
