Placements24 is partnering with a sophisticated upscale hotel in Sandton to recruit an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. You will support the F&B Manager across restaurants, bars, room service and banqueting, driving guest satisfaction and profitability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in F&B operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, strong leadership and cost-control knowledge, and the ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic team environment in Johannesburg's prime district.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in F&B operations within hospitality, with supervisory exposure.
• Proven experience managing restaurant, bar or banqueting operations.
• Strong knowledge of F&B products, service standards and cost controls.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the F&B Manager in supervising all F&B operations.

This role supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily operations of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and banqueting. Requirements

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage products, service standards, and cost control measures.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems and standard office software.
• A passion for guest service and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• A relevant qualification in Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage Management is preferred.
• Based in or able to commute daily to Sandton.
• Good understanding of the Gauteng hospitality market.
